Do you know who is behind our acacia and forest honey? No ? Don't worry and bee happy because we present you Nectar & Coour supplier of unique tasting honeys, under an "Organic Beekeeping" label!
Xavier Rennotte was just 12 years old when he was bitten by the bee bug and bought his first hives in 1993. Ten years later, the desire to launch a project directly linked to his passion was obvious. Xavier therefore founded Nectar & Co, a cooperative that is committed to working with respect for producers, products and the environment.
With a dozen apiaries located in the Brussels and Walloon regions, Nectar & Co has its own production. In nearly 20 years of activity, we have also established collaborations and commercial exchanges with other beekeepers on our continent.
This partnership of producers from the organic and sustainable sector has made it possible to put a range of honeys on the Belgian market that are unique in terms of taste, floral diversity and also texture, a true Belgian know-how.
Nectar & Co is committed to minimising the environmental impact of its activity, in the most sensitive phases of its activity.
Our honey : Acacia and forest
Imported from Transylvania, in central Romania, acacia honey is delicate and slightly floral, very sweet, while forest honey has more woody notes, rich in trace elements, minerals and antioxidants.
Both our honeys are available in bulk in barrels equipped with an electric resistance to keep the honey at temperature and prevent it from crystallising.
You can come and fill your own containers endlessly or take only as much as you need to satisfy your sweet tooth!
Organic honey, but how?
Why don't we sell Belgian organic honey? In Belgium, in order to have the organic label, the apiary must be located in an organic environment within a radius of 3 km. This is very difficult to achieve in our small country due to the population density, especially in the quantities we need.
