WHO WE ARE<\/h1>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

We are Quentin and Julien. We've been friends for a long time and have been inseparable since university, when we were roommates and in our various sports clubs! We decided to embark together on a project as crazy as we are: to make organic food more accessible.\u00a0<\/p>

It was in October 2016, both young dads, that we decided to quit our jobs and take the plunge into our dream project with the desire to undertake and have a direct and tangible impact on nature and biodiversity.\u00a0<\/p>

Strengthened by our previous experiences and more motivated than ever, we put together a team of ten people to open the first shop \"The Barn Bio Market\" in Etterbeek in May 2017. The feeling in our stomachs quickly turned into overwhelming energy when we saw the many customers gather in front of the shop before the doors opened. That day, we broke our first record: 500 customers in one day!\u00a0<\/p>

The store in Saint-Gilles opened its doors less than two years later, followed by those in Ixelles and Antwerp-South in 2019, Jette in 2020, Vanderkindere in 2021, and Auderghem at the beginning of 2023, with Schaerbeek and Antwerp-Berchem joining the adventure afterward\u2026 all met with the same enthusiasm from our customers.<\/p><\/div>

In 2022, between the opening of two markets, we launched Les Potagers de la Grange, our own 3-hectare organic vegetable production. Our goal? To be as close as possible to the producers, understand their realities and challenges, with the aim of better supporting them and promoting organic farming.\u202f<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Seven years later, we're proud to be supporting a team of 170 Barners with whom we share our passion for sustainable food, teaching them to love, understand and share the stories of the fabulous artisans behind our products in shop.  <\/span><\/div>\n

Every day we try to go further in our collaboration with our Barners and our producers, by encouraging encounters, by organising visits or by proposing to our Barners to get their hands dirty by working in the crops of our market gardeners during the summer. <\/span><\/div>\n

At The Barn, we're convinced that we've introduced a new way of working, in line with our initial requirements: a perfect mix of operational and intellectual skills, high-quality customer contact and high-quality products. <\/span><\/div>\n
