Gourmet Date and Pecan Squares

Easy, quick and healthy recipe with 100% organic products from The Barn presented by WESH food 🌾☝🏻

For 4 persons


For the cookie layer :
✔️ 200 g almond powder
✔️ 50 g softened organic butter
✔️ 2 tablespoons of date cream

For the date caramel:
✔️ 20 fresh dates (180 g)
✔️ 60 ml of water
✔️ 125 g of pecans
✔️ 1 pinch of salt

For the trim:
✔️ 100g pecans



1. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
2. Prepare the cookie: Mix the ingredients in a blender or with your fingers until you get a homogeneous dough. Spread evenly on baking paper in an ovenproof dish. Bake for 12 minutes at 180°C. Leave to cool for 15 minutes.
3. In the meantime, prepare the caramel: mix the ingredients in the blender. Spread it on the cookie layer.
4. Crush the remaining pecans and sprinkle them as a garnish. Bake for 15-20 minutes at 180°C. Let cool down for a while, then cut into squares and enjoy!
