Spiced nut mix

recipe for spiced nut mix

Quick and healthy recipe for a savoury cake, with 100% The Barn products suggested by WESH food

Ingredients

 

✔ 250g of an oilseed mix (e.g. cashew nuts, hazelnuts, walnuts) unsalted and unroasted

✔ 30g water

✔ 10g honey

✔ 10g almond puree

✔ 1 tsp salt

✔ 1/2 tsp curry powder

✔ 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder

✔ 1/2 tsp turmeric powder

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°.
  2. Place the nuts on the baking paper-lined rack for 5 to 7 minutes.
  3. Take the nuts out of the oven, quickly knead the nuts in your hands to remove the skin (which will come off very easily once the nuts are roasted).
  4. In a small saucepan, boil the water, honey and almond puree.
  5. Remove from the heat and add the nut mixture, salt and spices. Mix well.
  6. Place back on the baking paper lined rack and bake for another 5-7 minutes. Remove from the oven and allow to cool before eating.
