Budwig cream

Budwig cream

Quick and healthy recipe with 100% The Barn products suggested by WESH food

Ingredients

1 person
  • 1 yoghurt
  • 1 banana (or a little honey)
  • 1 tablespoon rapeseed (or linseed) oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 handful of oilseeds (walnuts, hazelnuts, almonds, cashew nuts, etc.)
  • 1 handful of oatmeal (or other cereal)
  • 1 handful of blueberries (or other seasonal fruit of your choice)

Preparation

  1. In a blender, blend the yoghurt, banana, oil, lemon and oilseeds.
  2. Pour into a bowl, sprinkle with oatmeal and add blueberries (or seasonal fruit cut into pieces).

 

For the record:  Budwig cream was developed in the 1930s by Johanna Budwig, a German researcher and biologist. A few years later it was taken up by Dr. Kousmine, who recommended it to his patients at breakfast as the basis of a diet rich in vitamins and trace elements. This delicious cream is still talked about today...
