Immunity-boosting chicken broth

Quick and healthy recipe with 100% The Barn products suggested by WESH food

Ingredients

✔ 4 litres of water

✔ 1 whole chicken

✔ Juice of 1/2 lemon

✔ A big carrot

✔ A leek

✔ A branch of celery

✔ An onion

✔ A clove of garlic

✔ Herbs and spices of your choice

✔ 2 tablespoons salt

Preparation

  1. Place all the ingredients in a large saucepan and let infuse over low heat and half-covered for 3 to 4 hours.
  2. Strain through a sieve.
  3. You can store this mineral infusion in the refrigerator for up to a week (three months in the freezer).

 

TIPS :

✔ You can discard the vegetables so as not to overload the gut unnecessarily.

✔ Lemon juice is used as an acid to extract minerals from the bones.

✔ You can use the vegetables of your choice: turnip, kohlrabi, fennel, etc. You can also use the (organic) peelings from your other preparations.
