The Quirini Toubio farm was founded through a partnership between Henry Dumont de Chassart, a farmer from Keumiée, and the Toubio farm in Wanfercée-Baulet. The name Quirini pays tribute to Henry’s grandparents, continuing a family tradition deeply rooted in the land.
It wasn’t long before Bastien, François, and Henry—neighbors who shared the same vision of agriculture—joined forces. Their goal: to pool their investments and optimize their resources in order to work more efficiently and sustainably.
To protect their crops, they have invested in drilling a well and installing a network of fire hydrants that can be used to irrigate all the plots. This is an essential step in ensuring the consistency and quality of their vegetable crops, even during periods of drought.
Together, they also designed and built a modern cold storage facility, Biostock, specifically intended for the storage of harvested produce. Thanks to this infrastructure, they can store the produce under optimal conditions and ensure a steady supply throughout the year.
The company grows various potato varieties:
• Agria and Alliance, intended for the fresh market
• Lady Jane and Beyoncé, intended to be processed into potato chips
In addition, yellow and red onions are also grown, as well as shallots and small shallots.
Quirini Toubio has opted for an integrated, collaborative model that brings together the entire value chain: production, storage, packaging, and sales.
At The Barn Bio Market, we work hand in hand with producers to bring you quality organic products, always at the best price!
