A family farm
In the heart of Corroy-le-Grand, in Walloon Brabant, there is a beautiful family farm run by Nicolas and Nathalie. When they took over the farm in 1987, they grew various vegetables and cereals.
Aware of the positive impact of organic farming and wanting to go further in this direction, they opened their butcher's shop in 2002, on site!
They raise, with a lot of kindness, cows of the White, Blue, Belgian breed, crossed with the Blonde d'Aquitaine. They have their own space in the meadows and in the warmth of the barn.
Good cattle feed is essential for the flavour of the meat. That's why Nicolas and Nathalie grow the feed on their farm. They now work with the GreenFarm Pierard cooperative for their vegetable and grain crops.
Their aim is to share their know-how in 100% organic quality meat, without GMOs, hormones, preservatives or colourings. Nathalie, concerned and sensitive to the health of her customers, treats her calves with essential oils, to avoid any excessive use of antibiotics and thus preserve quality meat.
The team
The butcher's shop is run by 5 employees who manage the business in a traditional way, in a short circuit.
They work with a slaughterhouse and a transport company in which they have full confidence. Their strong values and convictions with regard to the welfare of the animals invite them to check their partners regularly.
When we were looking for a collaborator for our meat range, it was only natural that we turned to Ferme des Noyers, via Delibio. Their values regarding animal welfare, meat quality and transparent communication are the strength of this partnership, which we are totally convinced of.
