Tom Paris fell in love with nature in the Fagnes region when he studied to become an environmentalist in La Reid before specialising in organic farming in Ciney. Passionate about farming techniques and biodynamic processes, he has worked in places such as Graines de vie, la Chevrerie de la Croix de la Grise, la Ferme de Froidmont and Little Farm. At the same time, he has satisfied his palate's need for adventure by developing Les Pulpivores and Casse Bonbons. He still hopes to create a balance between a sustainable ecosystem and the human species and to encourage the transition towards a more subtle understanding of the natural phenomena that surround us.
Today, Tom is developing the market gardening project of the Ferme de la Papelotte and offers training.
Live soil cultivation
The idea of market gardening on living soil is to reconstitute the natural cycle of soil fertility in agricultural plots. This idea is based on the fact that in nature (woods, forests, meadows, etc.) plants grow by themselves without the soil being worked or amended. Tom is the market gardener partner of our shop in Vanderkindere and will deliver his delicious seasonal vegetables, grown with love and passion, all year round!
