History
Ethiquable was born in 2003 in the Gers region of France, under the impetus of three friends who wanted to defend a social and solidarity-based economy. Ethiquable is a SCOP, i.e. a cooperative in which the capital belongs to the company's employees.
Ethiquable is specialised and recognised for its work and expertise in the field of fair trade and organic products.
The company works with small producers organised in cooperatives that respect peasant agriculture. They currently support 39 producer organisations in 22 countries in Latin America, Africa and Asia. 35,000 producers benefit directly from the fair price paid by Ethiquable.
Ethiquable also favours the final processing of products in the country of origin. In this way, the added value is generated at the level of the producers and contributes to a greater development of the producers.
The work with their partners is done on the spot and over time. This is absolutely necessary for them to understand the different realities and to propose appropriate support and collaboration solutions. Ethiquable staff are permanently on the ground to support producers in their development, together with specialised NGOs.
