History
Stephen Destrée, a pastry chef by profession, started out as a biscuit maker in 2008. His goal is to bring the Belgian biscuit to the highest level. With quality ingredients and recipes from world-renowned chefs, adapted by Stephen, the desire is to make people dream...
After completing his apprenticeship and working as a boss in some of the major Belgian companies, Stephen perfected his skills by taking courses with the best craftsmen in France in order to achieve excellence and learn the best manufacturing techniques. All that remained was to give free rein to his passion for the world of taste:Â "I want to take people on a journey, to make them dream with biscuits that come from a love of the craft...".
Each biscuit is different: whether they are crunchy or melting, with almonds or with 2 chocolates, there will be at least one to satisfy the finest gourmets. The Destrée biscuit factory also makes "made-to-measure" biscuits: tea-based biscuits for large tea houses, savoury biscuits, always with top quality ingredients.
The key words of the biscuit factory are quality, respect for raw materials and mastery of the finished product, which earned Stephen Destrée the First Prize in the National Competition "La Vitrine de l'artisan 2010".
Commitment
For 8 years, the Destrée biscuit factory has had the objective of going further and better. Today the approach is even greater, because their entire range of biscuits is organic.
For his raw materials, Stephen Destrée selects local producers who care about the environment, working with the greatest respect for tradition and know-how. It is a gentle mixture of passion, respect and gratitude for what nature offers us that has enabled Stephen Destrée to develop his range of biscuits.
