The Organic Sweet Potato Specialists
Bel go Bio est une coopérative agricole bio située à Hollogne-sur-Geer, en Hesbaye, près de Waremme. Fondée en 2017, elle rassemble 5 agriculteurs passionnés, tous ingénieurs agronomes, qui ont décidé de relever ensemble un défi de taille : transformer leurs exploitations conventionnelles en terres 100% bio.
Their aim? To promote organic vegetables grown on family farms, whilst setting themselves apart from the region’s traditional crops. Together, they grow unique and flavourful organic produce such as root parsley, choudou, garlic and, above all, sweet potatoes!
Organic vegetables suited to the Belgian climate
Bel go Bio is one of Belgium’s leading sweet potato producers. This vegetable, which is still relatively rare in our region, enables farmers to adapt to climate change whilst promoting local and sustainable production.
Unlike the potato, the sweet potato requires specific growing methods, which makes it a unique, high-quality product.
