In a few words
Our LENCA coffee is produced by the COMSA cooperative (Cafe Organico Marcala SA). It is a varietal blend, composed of Catuai, Caturra, Typica, Bourbon, Pacas, and Ihcafe 90.
The cooperative COMSA
COMSA – Café Orgánico Marcala S.A. – is a certified organic producers' association, run by the third generation of coffee farmers. Quickly supported by FUNDER, the organization puts people at the center of its model.
Today, more than 1,200 producers work together to defend the company's values and share them with as many people as possible.
COMSA's actions go beyond coffee production. Faced with the omnipresence of plastic waste in the country, COMSA decided to take concrete action. They created a local recycling plant, allowing residents to collect plastic waste and resell it. This plastic is then transformed into building materials, particularly for manufacturing furniture. This initiative is both environmental and social, as it recycles waste, creates economic activity, and strengthens community engagement around environmental protection.
The story behind the name
