The Organic Sweet Potato Specialists
Bel go Bio is an organic farming co-operative based in Hollogne-sur-Geer, in Hesbaye, near Waremme. Founded in 2017, it brings together five passionate farmers, all agricultural engineers, who have decided to tackle a major challenge together: converting their conventional farms into 100% organic farms.
Their aim? To promote organic vegetables grown on family farms, whilst setting themselves apart from the region’s traditional crops. Together, they grow unique and flavourful organic produce such as root parsley, choudou, garlic and, above all, sweet potatoes!
Organic vegetables suited to the Belgian climate
Bel go Bio is one of Belgium’s leading sweet potato producers. This vegetable, which is still relatively rare in our region, enables farmers to adapt to climate change whilst promoting local and sustainable production.
Unlike the potato, the sweet potato requires specific growing methods, which makes it a unique, high-quality product.
